Commercial and industrial service work across the board: RTUs, air handlers, VAV, boilers, chillers, cooling towers. EPA 608 required, Universal preferred. BAS experience or factory training from Trane, Carrier, Daikin, or York moves you up the list.

An Amana authorized dealer in the south Atlanta metro hiring two ways: experienced techs at $20 to $40/hour, or apprentices at around $18/hour with clear raises as your skills grow. No EPA 608 yet? They'll help you get there. Company vehicle, phone, and owners who know your name.
SpaceX · Hawthorne, CA · Full-time · $115,000 to $140,000/year
Own every HVAC and fluid system at SpaceX headquarters: compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, dust collection. Needs an engineering degree and CAD chops, so this one's for the design side of the trade. Stock options on an HVAC job listing is not something we see every week.

Hospital facilities work on a Monday to Friday day shift, 7am to 3:30pm. Needs 5+ years of HVAC/R experience. Benefits from day one including four weeks paid parental leave, and healthcare maintenance is about as recession-proof as this trade gets.
Southern Home Services (Valley Heating & Cooling) · Decatur, AL · Full-time · Up to $35/hour
Residential service and repair with year-round work, weekly paychecks, and a company vehicle. 2+ years of experience and EPA 608 required. Part of a national home services group, so there's room to move up.

A starting HVAC apprentice in Georgia earns around $36,990 a year, and the 25th percentile jumps to $46,250. That gap is your first two raises. With 12,290 techs working statewide and shops like this week's #2 hiring apprentices with no certification required, Georgia is one of the easier states to get a foot in the door.
